Pileated Woodpecker Tripod Mount_WIP

I needed some sort of mount to place my woodpecker sculpture so I could work on its underside without messing up what I already worked on by grabbing it. I wanted to get or make some sort of articulated arm that mounts to the table or something but the clay was already applied and if I left it there much longer the plasticizer would have been absorbed by the already cured under-layer making the top soft layer almost too stiff to work with.
So while looking up the arms online my dad said, "What about a tripod?" I got this old camera tripod I had, took apart the mount and put a bolt through it right into the wooden core of the bird!
Couldn't have worked better! Except it looks kinda weird sitting on the table, like I'm preforming some sort of experiment or something.
I still want to get one of those arm things but not for awhile. Cheap as free is always good.
